I was just checking out the latest figures for Second Life, having heard a comment that the number of Australians had dropped over the last few months. Based on the September figures released by Linden Labs, there are now just over 13,500 accounts registered to Australians.
If all countries have a fairly similar number of residents using multiple accounts (or alts) that puts Australia into 2nd position per capita of population (0.66% of pop).
The leading country per capita is The Netherlands (0.1% of pop, 17,086 accounts), after Australia the UK is in 3rd position (0.54%, 37,630 accounts), while USA takes 4th position (0.52% with 157,289 accounts).
