Green Marketing - Future Opportunities

In Australia and NZ there are over 4000 searches every month for green/eco products.combi

But what are some of the trends online for the environment sector?  We look at both SEO and the Social Media.

 

SEO

Green Search Engines such as www.greenmaven.com are becoming popular internationally as the green/eco movement grows the need for a streamlined search arises.  Implications? you need to have better organic search engine optimisation if you are going to rank well in these highly competitive environment. 

Social Media

While Facebook is a well used social network in Australia currently there is very little presence by environmental groups or eco suppliers.

In addition, there is very little eco/green blogging currently in Australia indicating that there is an opportunity to take a leadership/authority position in this area today.

Interested in best practice green blogging? look no further than www.treehugger.com. The site is structured into three areas Education, Interact and Take Action - two way communications is key to this sites appeal.

So if you are marketing an environmental/eco product keep one eye around the corner for the next big thing - as it will help direct your next online campaign.
