Bulldog Reporter and the TEKgroup International just released the 2007 Journalist Survey on Media Relations Practices. The results indicate that journalists are fast turning to online sources in a 24 hours news environment. Some of the key findings include: mike

  • Nearly half of all journalists vist a corporate website or online newsroom at least once a week
  • More than 85% report visiting a corporate website or online newsroom at least once a month
  • Journalists complain that man websites don’t have easily found contact information and media representative details
  • More than 25% of journalists report regularly reading five ore more blogs to keep up with the subject matter they cover
  • Nearly 7-% of journalists say they follow at least one blog regularly
  • More than 28% of journalists say they visit a social media site at least once a week
  • 64% of journalists report that they use either Google or Yahoo online news services to follow the news
